User Managers

User Managers is a built-in system user group in infoRouter. Members of this group have special permissions to create and manage users throughout the system.

System Group

This system user group cannot be deleted. Members are assigned by the System Administrator.


User Manager Capabilities

Members of the User Managers group can:

Function Description
Create users Create global and local users
Delete users Remove user accounts
Edit users Modify user properties
Enable/Disable users Activate or deactivate accounts
Manage user groups Create, edit, delete global and local groups
Manage memberships Add/remove users from groups
Grant library membership Add users to libraries

Scope of Access

Scope What User Managers Can Do
Global Users Full management (create, delete, edit, enable/disable)
Local Users Full management within any library
Global User Groups Create, delete, edit, manage members
Local User Groups Create, delete, edit, manage members
Library Membership Grant membership to users and groups

Becoming a User Manager

The System Administrator assigns users to the User Managers group:

  1. Go to Control Panel
  2. Navigate to System User Groups
  3. Select User Managers
  4. Add members to the group
