Notifications

infoRouter supports both on-screen status notifications and SMTP email notifications to keep users informed about document changes and workflow activities.


Notification Types

Type Description
On-Screen Status notifications displayed within infoRouter
Email SMTP email notifications sent to your email address

When Notifications Are Sent

Email notifications are sent when:

  • Subscribed documents change — Updates to documents you're subscribed to
  • Subscribed folders change — New documents or changes in folders you're subscribed to
  • Workflow tasks assigned — You're assigned a review or approval task
  • Workflow status changes — Documents you submitted complete workflow steps

Managing Notifications

You can control your notification preferences in your User Profile:

Setting Options
Notification Type None, Instant, or Daily digest
Email Format HTML or Plain Text
Attach Documents Include documents in notifications

Subscription Notifications

Subscribe to documents and folders to receive automatic notifications when changes occur.
