Administrative Functions

Administrative functions in infoRouter are primarily performed by the System Administrator. However, the System Administrator can delegate certain functions to other users through administrative roles.


Administrative Roles

Role Description
Administrators System User Group with full administrative access
User Managers Create and manage user accounts
Audit Managers View and manage audit logs
Policy Managers Manage retention and disposition policies
Library Managers Manage specific libraries
Category Administrators Manage categories and saved searches
Portal Administrators Configure and manage portals

The Control Panel

Users with administrative privileges can access the infoRouter Control Panel, which contains links to various administrative functions.

Accessing the Control Panel

Click the Control Panel tab in the main navigation. This tab only appears if you have administrative privileges.


Special Privileges

Some administrative roles have special capabilities within document libraries.

Library Manager Example

Library Managers can access all documents within their managed library, regardless of the security assigned to individual documents.
